Café Continental
was established in Dunfermline in 2003.
Resembling many of Edinburgh's pre-club bars it
aims to offer Dunfermline a unique and cultured
atmosphere. It places it's emphasis on providing
a quality setting for a night out focussing on
stylish surroundings, quality music and
excellent service.
In early 2004, Colin Cook was employed to
oversee the weekend music policy. Colin's career
as a DJ spans over 15 years and he has held many
successful residencies playing in clubs such as
Colours, Indulge (London), Traxx and Alaska
(Glasgow), Iguana and The Honeycomb. Most
recently, Colin has held a fortnightly residency
at Edinburgh's groundbreaking 'Ultragroove'
where he still features regularly as a guest.
Colin currently plays at Cafe Continental
between 8 & 12 on a Saturday where he can be
heard playing his trademark New York house,
soulful dance, rare disco and jazzy grooves.
Soon after taking over the reigns at Cafe
Continental Colin quickly secured the services
of Andy Stirling & Mikey Inglis to ensure
that the music on a Friday night is of a
similarly high standard. Sharing many of the
same influences each provide their own
interpretation of quality soulful dance music
and attempt to ensure that the music as at the
forefront of the customers mind. Together they
have worked hard to help establish a superior
crowd who consider quality music and a stylish
setting to be important
factors in their night out.
